Typing

Typing on a computer is probably how I spend most of my day :).

If you’re like me and you spend a lot of time typing, you might as well learn how to do it better.

Typing well is very high ROI! It gives you a small efficiency/productivity boost everytime you use a computer, and it helps keep your hands and wrists healthy.

Touch Typing

If you type a lot, you have to learn how to do touch-typing.

Typing Fast Matters

If you’re a programmer, I belive that learning how to type is very important, not only for the reasons I mentioned above, but it also helps you iterate fast on your ideas and lets you enter a nice flow when you’re writing. This flow means you can shorten the interface between your thoughts and the computer, which makes you more effective and it honestly just makes programming more fun. If you write well, and you learn touch-typing you won’t need to look at your keyboard to find a key, which would interrupt your thinking.
